2019 American Documentary Film Festival theatre venues

Most Festival screenings will take place at the following theatres.  Any special venues will be noted in the on-line schedule and ticket information.
Palm Springs Cultural Center (Camelot Theatres)

The Camelot Theatres in Palm Springs will host the American Documentary Film Festival for a sixth straight year.  Located in mid-town Palm Springs, this complex features three separate auditoriums, seating 500 in cinema one, 150 in cinema two, and 120 in cinema three.  Cinema one features the largest projection screen in the Coachella Valley and the Camelot provides Christie Digital
world-class projection.  An upstairs restaurant and bar, a small but full-service snack bar is on premises, and free parking.

Helene Galen Theatre

The Helene Galen Theatre, part of the performing arts center that also bears the philanthropist's name, opened in 2013 on the campus of Rancho Mirage High School in the city of Rancho Mirage.  It is a first-time home of the American Documentary Film Festival.  Designed as a showcase for musical theatre in the Coachella Valley, the venue is one of the more state-of-the-art high school facilities of its kind.  With 600 seats,  and a Rancho Mirage address, it is home to professional level, fully-staged musical productions.  The theatre works in partnership with the American Foundation for Arts Education.

Indian Wells Theater and
Oliphant Auditorium

The Indian Wells Theater is located on the Palm Desert campus of California State University, San Bernardino in the city of Palm Desert.  Its aesthetically-pleasing exterior is matched by the beautiful interior of a 300-seat
, professional performing arts theater that offers comfortable, stadium seating. Excellent acoustics and sightlines make the venue an ideal location for AmDocs.  Screenings will be held on the same campus at adjacent Oliphant Auditorium, a 100-seat, smart technology- enabled, classroom-type facility, with theatre style projection system.  Free parking.
